Counter Terror Expo is the critically acclaimed, highly specialised, event for those who are tasked with the demanding and complex role of delivering a robust defence against the threat posed from international terrorism.

Design and detailed consideration is now being centred around ensuring infrastructure is ready to resist threats, whether it is fire, blast, forced entry or ballistic. From architecture to construction, all parts of the supply chain are preparing for these changes.

Matt Butchard and Tom Moody participated in the Comblast Blast and Ballistic Protective Design course.  Organised by Comblast and DGA, the week long course covered a wide range of topics and work group sessions.  Matt and Tom developed their ability to work with complex blast analysis programs and produce calculations to support designs. 

This training has given Pensher Skytech new and detailed knowledge of asset security across a range of disciplines and threat levels from access control through blast, and fragmentation to forced entry and ballistic security.  The week culminated in a variety of live blast demonstrations at DGA’s facility including high explosives, shape charges and ballistic testing.
